For EP Debugging on Windows Server 2008 R2 , make sure the following is set up in web.config for Debugging in VS2008 to work :

1. In the Compilation tag , debug attribute should be set to true.
2. In Customerrors tag mode attribute should be set to off.

Note: As an alternative to hand editing this file you can use the 
  web admin tool to configure settings for your application. Use 

    the Website->Asp.Net Configuration option in Visual Studio.
