The wait is almost over. CRM Online 2013 (formerly codenamed “Orion”) is rolling out to our datacentres in EMEA, APAC and the AMERICAS and will be available over the next couple of weeks (more details available here). Once live, If you want to test-drive this brand new release, you can simply create a brand new 30-day trial from our trial landing page here. No credit card details are required for the trial.



Just a couple of caveats you need to be aware of. Firstly, you’ll notice the familiar “Get CRM for Outlook” bar at the top of the screen. If you click on this you might be redirected to an error page “Sorry: no results found for: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook”. This is just a temporary situation until we release the on-premises version of CRM 2013 later this year. Secondly, if you try and locate the Mobile Client Application in the Windows Store (for Windows 8) or in Apple iTunes (for iPad 3 or 4), you might not find these either. Again, for the same reasons.

However, that shouldn’t stop you from exploring all the goodness that CRM 2013 has to offer. If you didn’t have the chance to work with the pre-release version (via the various early adopter & beta programmes), then I would recommend taking a look at the following “quick start” video:

One particular innovation that I want to draw your attention to is that we have included several, out-of-the-box, business processes, which you can use to get started quickly. Similar to the pre-installed demo data, you can easily remove these processes if they don’t meet your needs, simply by uninstalling the “Business Process” solution package. However, do spend some time “playing” with them in order to get a feel for how the new business process flows can improve the way you use CRM.
